Meaning in Feng Shui:
Chinese Daoist deity Lei Gong 雷公, Lei Kung, Lei Shen, Duke of Thunder, or Thunder God, when so ordered by heaven, punishes those guilty of crimes and evil doing who to harm others. He carries a drum and mallet to summon thunder and to punish the guilty ones.
Lei Gong is a fearsome human like creature with claws, wings, and a blue body and wears only a cloth over. Few Temples worship him, but some worship in the hope that he will revenge on their enemies.
His special power is thunder, his assistants capable of producing other heavenly phenomena. Mother of Lightning aka Dian Mu, for example, uses flashing mirrors to send bolts of lightning across the sky. Yun Tong (“Cloud Youth”) whips up clouds, and Rain Master aka Yuzi causes rainfall by dipping his sword into a pot. Roaring winds rush forth from a type of goatskin bag manipulated by Earl of Wind aka Feng Bo, who was later replaced by Madame Wind aka Feng Popo who rides a tiger among the clouds.
